Where to Volunteer: Community Meal and Food Pantry Assistance

Two of the best holiday volunteer opportunities we offer include our Community Meal Program and Hands of Hope Food Pantry.

Community Meal Program

This program serves over 500 meals daily to individuals in need. Volunteers assist with serving meals, distributing water, sanitizing tables, and supporting other aspects of the meal service. If you’re exploring holiday volunteer opportunities near you, this is an excellent choice. Meals are served daily from 10 AM to 11 AM at the St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility, and volunteers must be at least 14 years old.

Hands of Hope Food Pantry

Open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 3:30 PM, our food pantry provides essential groceries to families in need. Volunteers assist with stocking shelves, packing USDA food bags, and helping clients transport their groceries. If you’re searching for volunteer events near you that support local families, this program is a perfect fit.
